ESTABLISHING A SCHOLARSHIP

Have you ever wondered if there was a way to establish and fund an academic scholarship plan that will relate to your passion for offering financial assistance to deserving LGBT students? The answer is yes!

We are able to allow our donors to create a scholarship or scholarship fund that can be directed to the criteria that is best suited to the donor’s interests and budget. As a donor, you are able to establish a scholarship under the Community Scholarship Fund. You can help determine the criteria and a budget that matches your individual desire for giving.

Because of our relationship with Arizona Community Foundation (ACF), we are able to assist you in the planning and establishment process. The professionals at ACF will be included in the process. Normally, an individual, organization or business would have to meet certain minimum
requirements to be part of an ACF managed program. Because of the current Pride Scholarship Program at ACF, we are able to help establish scholarships that do not require such minimum requirements.

This is a special opportunity for an individual, organization or business to make a commitment to the academic scholarship opportunities for the LGBT community and allies.

The Scholarship Committee will meet with interested individuals, and then meet with ACF, to help the donor create a scholarship fund or even to build for an endowment fund.

The scholarship would be created under the Community Scholarship Fund and would qualify for all tax-deductible benefits allowable by law as a donation to Phoenix Pride.
