MAKING A DONATION
A donation process has been established so that an individual, organization, business or foundation can make a directed donation to any of the specified scholarship funds.
The donor can select from the three scholarship funds to designate their donation. The donation can be a one-time or recurring donation. The amount and designation of the donation is a decision made by the donor. All donors will receive tax-deductible documents to support their donation.
Donations can be made through an online donation process or by check made out to Phoenix Pride indicating where the donation should be directed. Donations can be anonymous, if that is the request of the donor.
There are three separate scholarship funds in the Pride Scholarship Program:
PRIDE Scholarship Fund
Donations made to this fund will be placed in the PRIDE Scholarship Fund that is managed by Arizona Community Foundation (ACF). The use of these funds and selection of recipients is under the management of ACF. This endowment is restricted to academic scholarships.
Community Scholarship Fund
Donations to this fund will be designated for immediate use for scholarships during the academic year for initial or renewal scholarships. Donors are making a general donation to support the awarding of scholarships, with the criteria established by the Scholarship Committee under the guidance of ACF. All donations received will used for scholarship designation during the next earliest scholarship review period.
Outreach Scholarship Fund
Donations to this fund will be used to allow the donor community to contribute to the commitment of the organization to support the important works of the regional and international Pride community. Phoenix Pride is committed to providing assistance to regional and international Pride organizations and our common battle for recognition and human rights as a focus of any LGBT Pride organization.
All donations directed to the Pride Scholarship Program are subject to a program fee not to exceed 10% of each donation.
