ARIZONA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

Several years ago, the organization was researching the most effective manner to professionally manage the various scholarship funds. As different organizations were considered, it became apparent that the most experienced and professional non profit organization in the state of Arizona was the Arizona Community Foundation.

As we plan and expand the Pride Scholarship Program, it is important to work in close association with a non profit foundation that is a leader in the formulation and administration of academic scholarships. We are pleased to have a close association with the Arizona Community Foundation and their professional staff.

Arizona Community Foundation, founded in 1978, is the largest private provider of scholarships in Arizona. In 2008, they provided over 1,000 scholarships with a valued exceeding $3.9 million dollars to students in Arizona

Having this opportunity for professional advice, will also be a valuable planning tool to any business, individual, organization or foundation that will decide to make a donation or participate in creating additional scholarship opportunities under the Pride Scholarship Program.

We appreciate the willingness of the Arizona Community Foundation to work with the organization and the LGBT community to expand and encourage the scholarship opportunities available to LGBT individuals in the metro Phoenix area.
